7 Signs Your Pet Might Need an Immune Boost

In a perfect world our pets could tell us exactly what they need.

“Hey! I’m feeling lethargic because my immune system is having a tough time. Some Turkey Tail mushrooms, especially the ones that come in the CannaDrops Immune Supporter™ with the full-spectrum hemp(cbd) oil, and some better quality food would be a good way to help me!”––said no pet ever.

But hey, don’t fret. We’ve compiled some symptoms that might be your pet’s way of telling you they need an immune boost:

  • Lethargy or noticeable decrease in energy
  • Lack of appetite
  • Various skin infections
  • Prone to recurrent infections
  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting
  • Wounds are slow to heal

If your pet does present many of these symptoms, seeking veterinarian consult is advised. And don’t stop at your pets when thinking about who might need an immune boost. We’re mammals heading into flu season during the second winter of the COVID-19 pandemic too.

If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms as well, perhaps an immune boost through better sleep, better food, immune-supporting supplements, exercise, and reducing stress could benefit all members of your household, not just the fluffy ones.

Perhaps in a truly perfect world, we’d all be happy and healthy, with no symptoms. That’s where preventative medicine lends some wisdom; the aim of which is the absence of disease. Preventative medicine also includes all measures which limits progression of disease at any stage of its course. In other words, preventative medicine is important in the presence of disease as well as in the absence of disease.

“The world runs on healthy people, yet the healthy are not health conscious or aware of their need to be free of disease and therefore it is difficult for the majority to realize the value of preventative medicine,” says E.A. Clarke, MD, who’s study on Preventative Medicine explains the field. This is an important reminder that being proactive about health is important even when you and your family are feeling healthy.

Because “Hey owner, can you boost my immune system so I don’t develop some disease?”––is another thing your pet never said, and never will say.
